Yesterday was game day all day long! Played pictionary with mom and dave, with dave's very poorly drawn toad and mom almost wetting her britches. Baked up 8 vegan chocolate cupcakes and a skinny chocolate bundt cake, unfrosted. Frosted the cuppincakes with chocolate butter maple frosting i made up, and sprinkled them with maple sugar and topped with a tiny chunky maple leaf hard candy. I also topped 2 with maple cotton candy fluff, but it deflated soon after back into sugar and maple sugar! Courtesy Leane & Michael's Sugarbush in Salem, IN.

My chocolate butter maple frosting receipt;
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1-1/2 or 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
3 tbsp. maple syrup, i used grade B
1 tbsp. butter
Mix all up to syrup, and then beat in butter.

On the food site, I have been cooking cheese & mushroom eggs for Dave every morning, and last night I made him one of Jennifer Paterson's own recipes (receipts); Welsh Rarebit! Tonight I am baking up a broccoli-cheese casserole with crushed Ritz crackers on top for Dave and Mom, it's also Survivor night! So that means raw chocolate pudding cup on Mummy's bed.
And along with that raw dessert, I also have raw
chocolate cupcakes topped with maple-almond butter frosting in the fridge, and half of a big raw mango cobbler courtesy ani phyo.
Also, last week Dave made homemade fettuccini alfredo for Mom and him, with heavy whipping cream, salt and pepper, and parmesan cheese. whoa!!! he remember it from his days working in the kitchen at the ordinary. and a picture of stuffed shells i made a few weeks before for him and mommy.
Anddddd to top all these wonderful food times, we went maple-ing down in washington county on sunday, had to watch the pup saturday so didn't get to then, but took him and he just slept in the car! Featured are all the wonderful maple things i purchased in the "sugarstore!"
This post is quite awhile back...dave's day-dee had a birthday a couple weeks ago...january 8th i believe, and he told me one day he loved the Appleworks Dutch Country pumpkin rolls rolled up with cream cheese icing...so I baked him up moisty pumpkin cupcakes and filled them with rich cream cheese icing, and stuck 2 pictures of the joker in there, he went berz-erk.

cooked up a big pot of bean-potato-tomato-veg fall harvest stew soup! and watched a small documentary on channel 20 about chris mccandless.!!
the soup contained these ingredients; garbanzo-black-kidney beans, cabbage, sweet potato, cilantro, carrot medallions, thyme, chili powder, dried orange peel, salt, sugar, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, onion, garlic, celery.....

Last night Miss Julia, sagittarius had a dinner party for mickey! i baked some brownies that were bubbly and really gooey, so i baked peanut butter cupcakes too. when the cupcakes came out, i made a hole in the middle of each of them and shoved in a brownie wad. (vctotw peanut butter cupcakes, with a brownie recipe on the back of the ghiradelli sweet chocolate cocoa mix, veganized) we had lasagna, bread, salad, cantaloupe, cherries, blackberries, and wine. by the end of the night i was so tired and i rode the bike home in the rain. it is dark today and rainy. i'd like to go hiking! tomorrow i'm taking mickey to laughing planet for lunchins and burritos. *yesterday i ended up touring part of bloomington in rashad's car with him and TyLea. He is looking around for apartments. we visited daun at bfoods (rashad used this word, already using the local lingo) and they ate at wendys. their hamburger was wrapped in a package marked hamburger. toured the music store and tylea mentioned the pink ice cream that mickey was eating, so i showed them the way to The Chocolate Moose. TyLea got exactly what mickey got, 2 scoops of strawberry in a sugar cone and Rashad got a giant chocolate chip ice cream cookie sandwich! I snapped photos of them. (photos to be added later today)
Mandy came for the weekend! We walked our little legs off and played in a fountain. we spotted a black winged, green bodied dragonfly next to a woodsy creek. we sat at the coffee shop and ate vegan peanut butter-chocolate chip bars. the chocolate chips on top were goo because the shop was warm. we shared a berry smoothie. we watched vicky cristina barcelona & thelma and louise.
I successfully re-created daun's famous biscuit recipe for Monday morning biscuits! And we had a nice strawberry, frozen banana salad.
I got my hair cut today and bought a vintage $2 dress at cactus flower.
Daun & Chris had another Tuesdate and I had a date in bed with Rocky and some vegan hash. (gimme lean, potatoes, tofu)
We baked vctotw chocolate cupcakes for Benny's Mommy with nutella frosting (unvegan= butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, nutella, heavy cream) heavenly smell.
Huge party yesterday! Mandy had her grad party from 2-6. I went at about 12:30 and brought along fudge brownies, peanut butter fudge, and teddy graham cupcakes! The boys played basketball, everyone ate nachos from the nacho bar, it was a drizzly day, so we couldn't swim! :(
I watched the indy 500 race dinner at 7. Here are a bunch of photos from the party!
Adree made the strawberry agave cupcakes & I made the strawberry frosting! We went on over to Sam's house and delivered the mess of treats (including the frosted banana bread I made with cinnamon-vanilla frost)
Sam shoveled one into his mouth, we topped 2 with whole strawberries just for Sam.
We sat on a plastic picnic table and yawned. We stayed about an hour and a half and left pretty quickly. enjoyable though. i want to bake them some brownies next week!

tomorrow at work is Leslie & Janice (1 of 3?)'s birthdays. And then Sarah's is on Tuesday. I wanted to make something really fancy and very un-vegan....so I made Amy Sedaris' cupcakes.
They are full of butter and sugar and eggs and 2% milk...and the frosting is really whippy, with confectioner's sugar, a stick of butter, vanilla (amy is Miss Vanilla) and half and half, which I didn't have, so I used my Silk soy creamer (gaaaah)
They are very pretty and pure white.
They smell luscious, I have never told anyone this, but I go ga-ga for the smell of butter & sugar creamed together. (it must be unvegan butter & pure white processed sugar)
Gosh I just love Amy Sedaris. I do believe she should have a cooking show, it would be my favorite show in the entire world and I would watch it everyday at 4 o' clock, she seems like a 4 o' clock gal, or a 10 at night cooking show.
Here is the lovely recipe for her cupcakes (got it over at amysedarisrocks.com)
1 ½ sticks of unsalted butter
1 ¾ cups of sugar
Beat well, then add:
Add 2 large eggs
2 Teaspoons of pure vanilla
½ teaspoon of salt
2 ½ teaspoons of baking powder
2 ½ cups of flour
1 ¼ cups of milk
Beat well, fill cups, and bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes. You should get 24. I get 18, 'cause I'm doing something wrong.
Frosting
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 box of Domino confectionary sugar
¼ cup half-and-half
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla

I baked him cupcakes last night and took them into work today. I remembered he liked carrot cake, so I baked carrot cupcakes. It is a recipe I had in my "Birthday Cakes" cookbook. The recipe is by Maida Heatter and I veganized it, without nuts & raisins.
Then I made a cream cheese frosting (real cream cheese) to spread on the top. The bottoms were tasty, and I'm sure the creamy tops were too. He ate 2 of them and everyone else loved them. He also gave out his christmas presents today, all of us ladies got cute christmas socks! Mine even light up! wow!
Ronnie also dressed up as a reindeer today and called himself super deer.
was watching martha this morning, cupcake week. so i had to bake some cupcakes. my own banana cupcake recipe with a chocolate ganache on top. terribly rich and i recieved a headache for consuming 2. ha. but still swell.
These are the King of Cupcakes. A 'vegan cupcakes take over the world' peanut butter cupcake recipe paired with my peanut butter fudge frost. These are really delectable and moist and delish. Taylor turned 13 and I made a little powerpuff girl topper for her cupcake! The cupcake is paired with a faux white flower and a dainty little white plate from Vienna, Austria! That I purchased at the flee market!
